Drew and Kelsey Lambert, his girlfriend, traveled to Murfeesboro, Tennessee to compete in the 2009 Extreme Mustang Makeover. Drew's original mustang "Vegas" went lame after the first month of training. He was able to get a replacement horse, under the conditions that he could only exhibition the horse. Drew took advantage of this opportunity in order help the organization and get more horses adopted. Drew exhibitioned in the Legends division on his new horse "Longshot", with only 50 days of training on his horse. He had a almost flawless run, missing only one flying lead change. Kelsey competed in the Idols division on her horse "Mo Money" and walked away with a strong second place victory winning a check for two thousand dollars. The competition was a blast and they are looking forward to competing next year.
